What we have shipped recently

New features and improvements across the Anaemate app and dashboard, release by release.

  1. Release — 22 September 2026

Clearer reporting on what was received, tighter control over accounts in debt collection, and a longer audit trail on patient documents.

    • Redesigned BAS quarterly payment report — The quarterly BAS report now shows payments received during the quarter with a transaction-level breakdown of gross payments, GST, processing fees and the net amount received — the figure your accountant needs.
    • Returning patients recognised from a sticker scan — When an encounter is created from a scanned patient sticker, a returning patient is matched to their existing record instead of a duplicate being created.

  2. Release — 7 September 2026

Calendar sync for doctors, billing for pain procedures, and a set of changes that make invoices and payment terms behave the way practices expect.

    • Calendar sync for doctors — Doctors can connect their Anaemate calendar to Google Calendar, Outlook or iCal, so sessions and any later changes appear in the diary they already use. The sync runs one way, out of Anaemate, and patient names are never shared with the connected calendar.
    • Pain procedure billing — A pain procedures encounter type is available on the dashboard and the app. Pain specialists can bill supported MBS and AMA pain procedure codes using the relevant billing rules, with patient communications updated to match.

  3. Release — 17 August 2026

Finding work that needs attention, printable pre-op questionnaires, and a guard against a common billing mistake.

    • Pre-op questionnaires as a PDF — Doctors can generate, download and print a completed pre-op questionnaire from the dashboard or the app, with every question and the patient's answers included.

  4. Release — 27 July 2026

Medication alerts from the pre-op questionnaire, custom patient communications, and reconciliation that is quicker to search.

    • Pre-op medication alerts — A patient answering yes to questions about blood thinners, strong painkillers or other listed medications — including GLP-1 medications — now generates a patient alert automatically. The alert names the medication, so it is visible to the doctor rather than buried in a questionnaire.
    • Custom communication templates — Administrators can create their own SMS, email, push notification and note templates for manual communications, so patient contact sounds like the practice rather than like software.
